ZO Skin Health advice
ZO Skin Health retinol: which strength suits your skin?
Practical, product-focused guidance built with care.
ZO Skin Health offers several retinol products with different strengths and purposes. The highest percentage is not automatically the best choice. The right retinol depends on your skin goal, previous experience and tolerance.

Retinol Skin Brightener 0.25%, 0.5% and 1%
The Retinol Skin Brightener range focuses on uneven tone, texture and visible discolouration. SkinandCare stocks 0.25%, 0.5% and 1%.
- 0.25%: a logical starting point when introducing retinol gradually.
- 0.5%: a stronger step for skin that already tolerates retinol better.
- 1%: a high strength for experienced users whose skin tolerates intensive retinol.
Radical Night Repair and Wrinkle + Texture Repair
Radical Night Repair 1% Retinol is an intensive anti-ageing retinol treatment. Wrinkle + Texture Repair focuses on wrinkles and texture. Choose according to product purpose, not percentage alone.
Retinol + Blemish Complex
Retinol + Blemish Complex 0.25% is aimed specifically at blemish-prone skin and combines retinol with salicylic acid, so avoid automatically stacking multiple exfoliating products.
How to introduce retinol
Start gradually when your skin is not used to retinol. Increase frequency only when well tolerated. Redness, dryness, flaking or burning can occur when beginning a strong retinol routine; reduce frequency if reactions become excessive or persistent.
Use broad-spectrum SPF every day. Do not use products containing retinoids during pregnancy and discuss any uncertainty with your doctor or midwife.
Which retinol for which goal?
- Pigmentation and uneven tone: Retinol Skin Brightener.
- Wrinkles and texture: Wrinkle + Texture Repair or Radical Night Repair depending on routine and tolerance.
- Blemishes: Retinol + Blemish Complex when appropriate for your skin.
